This page contains a link to "Hart Island", which is almost certainly incorrect, since that is redirected to "Hart Island, New York", which is not what was intended. I'm not fixing it because I don't know what it's supposed to be.
the pics in the gallery are of superior quality to the ones in the main body. Chensiyuan 03:36, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
although the fantasy of this island is amazing the stories are completly incorrect, to sell this island they made the story a complete love story which from Boldt's point of view he attempted to make it a story book ending! but i grew up with my (step) grandfather, who was one of the original workers on the site their is not any truth with the backing of his "wife" dying, she had left him for a servant, because of which he went into a clinical depression and refused to build what was left on the site. my grandfather had recieved direct orders to discontinue any further construction and keep the obvious secret from the public all the contractors that knew about this FACT were paid generously to keep a hush hush about the situation, when Boldt went further down this mental path other associate's, business partners, did not want this getting out so they came up with this story to try and salvage the sale to this island to any local New York business men. it worked over this time it became legend and the truth was lost in translation, i am not trying to stir up contraversy i am only trying to tell the truth because almost all the locals, original contractors from a. bay, also know the truth but with a broken fairy tale there wouldn't be much of a story! but with tragedy it is still a beautiful island. i understand that the locals depend on tourism but really take a look at this island injest it is a unbelievable work of art and still people would come. this is a true castle of an era that is frozen in time and the surroundings are also, it is one of the few things untouched by modern man so know matter what people would always flock to the true majestic of this island and although in tragedy this castle was still built in the name of LOVE! Origin: Foreman R. Harwood, this is my (step) grandfathers name and he is in list to the original contractors on site but as i said believe it or not this is the only proof i have and sadly enough he is deceased and the mystery seemed to have died with him but over the years i have spoke to alot of the old timers from the areas of redwood and alex bay over the years of my life some seem to hold a grudge because more than a few lost their lives building this castle so through families the truth is slowly leaking out and eventually the HIGHWAY AUTHORITY, who own the castle, will have to a least update this or include the truth!74.79.50.22 (talk) 20:12, 13 April 2008 (UTC) OrLando N. - Find-a-grave has a photo of her gravestone with the 1904 date, and links to newspaper obituaries. Thus, hard to believe she left him and there was a cover-up. David notMD (talk) 13:41, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
