==Hello!==
I've opened up a discussion mentioning you here:
Hi, Cassianto,

I was wondering if you decided to return to the project. I know we had some disagreements years ago but you've been missed! <span style="font-family:Papyrus; color:#800080;">]</span> ] ] 19:01, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
:Hello {{u|Liz}}, thanks ever so much for your message, that's very kind of you. The jury is currently out deciding if I made the right decision to return, but I guess only time will tell. There's a few bits on here that I wanted to do (time allowing) so hopefully I can be left alone in relative peace to get on with it. I must admit, I can't remember our disagreements, but I certainly bear no grudge. I think it's important to remember that having disagreements is a fundamental part of human interaction and are good and healthy to have. Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you around. == About the “attack page” ==

I was recording the apparent stance of editors of the Gilbert and Sullivan project on infoboxes to make a case about systemic bias on the project as almost all active users don’t seem terribly fond of infoboxes. Even if you disagree with the categorization that hardly constitutes an “attack”, especially in comparison with ]. ] (]) 20:46, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
:Well don't. I don't much enjoy having my name secretly recorded by strangers off the internet. Your list is not only weird and creepy and akin to what the Nazis did in the 1940s, it is also factually wrong. I'm not "anti" anything, and if you bothered to check my article creation history, you'll see that I have included infoboxes on many of the articles I have started. But then you wouldn't have, would you, as it'll ruin your narrative. '''<span style="text-shadow:7px 7px 8px Black;">]]</span>''' 20:55, 4 November 2023 (UTC)

== Re yesterday ==

Hello Cassianto. Sorry about what happened yesterday. I was overly aggressive and I apologise. I'm not in the business of burning bridges and I'm not going to be starting now. I don't like Misplaced Pages pile-ons and got a bit annoyed at seeing one happen to an editor whom I've had a positive opinion of for a while now. Please don't think I'm a bad faith actor sniping from the sidelines: just trying to do what I think is right, but obviously chose the nuclear option there. Don't want to kill any future collaboration we may have on an article, so coming here to rebuild that bridge. All the best for the future - ] (]) 13:30, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

:Dear {{u|Tim O'Doherty|Tim}}, thank you for your message. It was an unfortunate situation and not one I wish to see repeated. Whilst it is regrettable that you and I had crossed words, and I bear no grudge, I don't regret my initial concern with my name being used, alongside a false description, on a weird list by a complete stranger. Anyway, let's hope that is now behind us. Best regards. '''<span style="text-shadow:7px 7px 8px Black;">]]</span>''' 20:00, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

:Sadly, these people (I can think of other words) will never realise who the real trouble makers are around infoboxes; it's certainly plain enough for the rest of us to see, which leads me to believe that perhaps they're in on it. It's my belief that the reason these infobox trolls and their admin enablers are all so full of their own self importance in the pretend world of Misplaced Pages is that they need to make up for clear inadequacies they have in reality. Howdy, Cassianto & {{ping|SchroCat}}, as it was with the usage/over-usage of diacritics & will be with across the board de-capitalisation of office titles? == ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message ==
:Hi {{u|GoodDay}}. After the outright lies told by a couple of the IB warriors there ''and'' the PAs by several (including one admin) ''and'' the reactivated sleeper accounts ''and'' the obvious troll-socks ''and'' the bad faith shown by several—let alone the fact that the ArbCom restrictions have been ignored by several—I stopped watching it some time ago. When administrators and arbitrators are ignoring blatant breaches of the ArbCom restrictions that they have been made aware of, I wonder why I bother with it all. For all the ongoing finger pointing about ‘oh, it’s the anti-IBers that are being rude and naughty’, it’s clear in that thread who is the more aggressive and relentless side of the discussion. Sadly I think you are right: there is an unthinking and closed-minded approach that demands IBs without even considering the other side of the argument. – ] (]) 16:33, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

:::I hope not too, but I think it likely that it a rule to have IBs on all articles (or all biographies) will be pushed for over and over and over by the IB warriors until it is in place. :::{{u|Jip Orlando}}, I've just seen the edits on the link you've given above, and this is what I mean; whilst their edits are well-intentioned, they are sadly misinformed and oblivious to how pointless their edits actually are. , for instance tells us nothing that the first line doesn't. The box here is simply a repeat for idiots who can't be arsed to read a sentence. Also, where was ]? Fine, it's not been reverted, but who watches a stub like that? Now, the likes of Gerda Arendt would likely tell you that the '''bold''' edit here would be the reverting of it, should someone be savvy enough do it. And if it was to be reverted, then that is when the troops from Camp Infobox arrive to revert it back, telling ''you'' not to edit war, and because it remained in place for a good few hours, then the thoughts and wishes of the omnipresent "silent consensus" should be respected and that it should be kept. Another classic cookie is "oh, but an arts biography infobox is essential for those wanting to find quick facts". Who comes to this shit hole to find "quick facts"? No, no, no, you stick it in the search bar on your device, even before you've thought of WP, and Google does the rest. It's utter, unintelligible bollocks. I unwatched Kubrick and Grant a long time ago, and I've done the same with Sinatra, just last week. I couldn't give a toss about them - not my work, I was simply standing up for the rights of writers who took the time to improve them in the first place and who chose not to cater for people cheating in pub quizzes. El_C, Bishonen, Johnuniq, the kindly fellow who made a PA on the Sinatra talk page (laughably described as an "admin" and whose name I can't be bothered to remember), an entire ArbCom committee, both past and present, have all ignored the problem, and are as much to blame for the continuing infobox dramas as the disrupters who force this crap onto arts biographies in the first place. :The problem isn't that there is excessive badgering by an individual (I think the message was put out very firmly from the start), but you'll note that most who have opposed has had their rationales questioned by one of several people (I am not suggesting that people are taking it in turns to spread the questioning out, but it's interesting to note that the "questioning" is all from one side, which has an effect of raising questions in a closing admins eyes). Aside from that there are three questionable accounts who have joined in (one possible sleeper account and likely two socks, if I let my AGF slip for a moment). Have another look at the comments made and see which group has personalised the debate - not focusing on the question of the box, but mentioning particularly Cass and me (and telling lies in the process, including by at least one long-standing editor). That is categorically against the last ArbCom decision (or "The IB Warriors Charter" as the case should realistically be called). If ArbCom were serious about actually dealing with the matter, rather than looking for an excuse to kick Cass, then these breaches shouldn't stand. (And the less said about baiting like , the better. Why he thinks this is appropriate to do is beyond me - it's just an attempt to get a rise out of me.)
----
:An admin "{{tq|Appeasing a handful of obstinate and OWN-y editors is not a very good reason to oppose}}" (and this was ''after'' I left the sanctions notice on their talk page). What the fuck is that all about? If Cass had posted something along those lines he'd be blocked in a heartbeat, but and admin - a fucking ''admin'' thinks he's above any censure and allowed to post crap like that? That's just not good enough, and yet we all know that no action will be taken, and despite the fact that you see 'no consensus', I'll lay good odds that if it were to close today, the decision will miraculously find a consensus to uncollapse. - ] (]) 15:44, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

::Yeah, I've posted on the Sinatra RfC now, suggesting no change and giving arguments for either side and saying why we've got to compromise. Which is kind of what admins do, right, defuse difficult situations and work out a way of getting people back to editing instead of arguing, right? ] ] ] 16:52, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

Hello!

Hi, Cassianto,

I was wondering if you decided to return to the project. I know we had some disagreements years ago but you've been missed! Liz 19:01, 4 July 2023 (UTC)

Hello Liz, thanks ever so much for your message, that's very kind of you. Cassianto 20:21, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
Hello, Cassianto. I, too, want to welcome you back. I remember disagreeing with you from time to time, but I never once doubted that you have made outstanding contributions to this encyclopedia. I hope that resumes and I wish you well. Cullen328 (talk) 20:30, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
Thanks Jim. Cassianto 21:07, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
Good to see you back! I sent you a gmail message just to check if you got my email!♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:18, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
Thanks Dr. Blofeld, I've not been receiving your messages, which I find most odd. The Gmail one went straight to my junk. Cassianto 19:52, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
Yesterday I sent a link to my cousin, and he said it was blocked from viewing. It's starting to feel like somebody is monitoring and censoring things! I got your test, see if you get the Got It email. My sister's husband, a fit guy of only 43 almost died of a heart attack last week, artery 98% collapsed.♦ Dr. Blofeld 07:06, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
I'm so very sorry to hear that, how devastating for your family. There certainly seems to be a lot of unexplained heart problems at the moment. I wonder what's causing it? Cassianto 18:25, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
Just sent you an email, did you get it? ♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:58, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
I did and replied. Cassianto 06:38, 14 July 2023 (UTC)

About bloody time!

Tell me about it! I've missed not having anyone to call a c- *ahem*  ;) SN54129 15:54, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
I've missed your C bombs, SN; it's one of the reasons I returned as I was having withdrawal symptoms. Cassianto 06:44, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
You're too kind, thanks. By the way, where has the "thank" button gone? Cassianto 06:52, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
Welcome back, good to see you. - Dank (push to talk) 03:07, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
Thanks Dan, good to hear from you. Cassianto 13:36, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
In the best Australianese, I can only echo the section heading... ;-) While we're here, Dan it's good to see you back at TFA...! Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 13:48, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
Much thanks, Ian, lovely to hear from you. Cassianto 15:32, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
Thanks Ian. Btw, can you recommend a TFA article (rerun or not) for Australia Day on 26 January? Australia and Canberra are options, but I'm a little wary because Main Page people tend to scrutinize country and city articles. - Dank (push to talk) 15:51, 19 July 2023 (UTC) Striking ... too controversial, we'll find a different day. - Dank (push to talk) 12:08, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
Fuck me dead. I genuinely thought you'd retired for good, even took this talk page off my watchlist. Welcome back. I hope you've been well. Mr rnddude (talk) 21:06, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
Ha, I had some unfinished business here and here, and Mrs Cassianto was getting annoyed with the books hanging around, so I thought I'd get these finished. Hope you're well! Cassianto 21:14, 4 November 2023 (UTC)

You got it! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:20, 21 August 2023 (UTC)

Good to see your name

Good to see your name around. I'm not the most active these days, but a positive for the project that you're around. TonyBallioni (talk) 00:03, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

Thanks Tony. I had some unfinished projects eating away at my conscience, so felt it right to return to get them finished. I hope you're well. Cassianto 07:52, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

Echoing this- delighted to see you back. Jip Orlando (talk) 15:47, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

Thank you for the kind message, Jip. Hope to see you around. All the best Cassianto 16:29, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi @Cassianto: Good to see you back. I'm really glad your back with your original name, which I thought was cool. scope_creep 20:36, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
That's very kind, thank you. Cassianto 21:11, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
Great to see you also Cas. Its almost like old times and hope you are well. Ceoil (talk) 18:44, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
Bless you, Ceoil, lovely to hear from you. All good here; please give my best to Liz. Cassianto 19:03, 4 November 2023 (UTC)

About the “attack page”

I was recording the apparent stance of editors of the Gilbert and Sullivan project on infoboxes to make a case about systemic bias on the project as almost all active users don’t seem terribly fond of infoboxes. Even if you disagree with the categorization that hardly constitutes an “attack”, especially in comparison with your comparison of me to the Schutzstaffel. Dronebogus (talk) 20:46, 4 November 2023 (UTC)

Well don't. Cassianto 20:55, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
It’s not “secret” if you found it. Dronebogus (talk) 20:57, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
Correction, I was told about it. Secret or not, it's weird. Please remove my name. You've no reason to include it anywhere and accompany it with false information. Cassianto 21:04, 4 November 2023 (UTC)

Re yesterday

All the best for the future - Tim O'Doherty (talk) 13:30, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

Dear Tim, thank you for your message. Cassianto 20:00, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
Thanks. Again, I apologise. Never met you before, so regret that was our first interaction. Just to clear the air. Cheers - Tim O'Doherty (talk) 22:48, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
I apologise too. Hope to see you around. Cassianto 06:53, 6 November 2023 (UTC)

And some trolls call me obsessive!

Pointless noise and yet still missing the point? Plus ca change with those who "never speak about" such things, unless it's behind people's backs and in the gutter at the same time! Hope you're keeping well; we'll have to sort out some pre-Christmas drinks with the old fella sometime. Cheers - SchroCat (talk) 22:07, 15 November 2023 (UTC)

Sadly, these people (I can think of other words) will never realise who the real trouble makers are around infoboxes; it's certainly plain enough for the rest of us to see, which leads me to believe that perhaps they're in on it. It's my belief that the reason these infobox trolls and their admin enablers are all so full of their own self importance in the pretend world of Misplaced Pages is that they need to make up for clear inadequacies they have in reality. God forbid if these people are in real life positions of power. I'll be in touch about Christmas - let's arrange something. December is looking more likely than this month. Cassianto 07:36, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
This is from the old fella (SchroCat will pay for his impertinence). You'd both better come round to Riley Towers again in December. A buffet and any amount of wet will be available. Kindly sort some dates out by email; I can't do 1st, 4th or 12th. Tim riley talk 22:59, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:19, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
