Jangid is a caste (Clan) in India who have the status of Brahmin. They have a notable presence in the states of Haryana, Rajasthan , Uttar Pradesh and Punjab and their traditional occupation was Musician, Art work , Jewelry, Wooden carving and painting.
They are descendants of Maharishi Angira , one of the first 10 Manas Putra (son) of God Brahma. Lord Vishwakarma is the main deity of these people. Now vanished Jangid Khap was one of the first Khap of the Khap system. The Guru of Devas, Brahaspati was from this Same clan.
