These days, most heroes don’t want to disappoint their core audience. They know their fans expect the usual package. ] is a smart man, he knows what his legion of followers need from him. And he has provided just that, even though for most part the film moves on a formulaic pattern. If that is what is going work at the ] who is to complain. Coming after his big success in ], Ajith looks confidence personified and delivers his usual punch with poise. Ajith also looks ease and elegance. The usual package of action, comedy, sentiments and other attendant things that an average film-goer looks for is present here too. | |||
its a pure waste of time to watch this movie ... ajith has ghost directed the movie.. he was angry with director bala for rejecting him from the movie "naan kadavul" ...so to just prove that he is a man with capabilities he has included unwanted dialogues like "kadavul naan kadavul" in the movie.... | |||
The story is the ] of a simple, straight as rod, Aalwar into an avenging machine named ]. Why Aalwar ends up as Shiva? Well, Aalwar is a traditional priest. He is devoted his mom and sister. But the villainous elements Lal, Vincent Asokan, take out the sister and mother. If this is not reason enough for Aalwar’s blood to boil, then what is? Aalwar, with revenge ringing in his mind, ends up as Shiva the killer, even while working as a ward boy in a hospital. Shiva is out to make a statement against the venal forces. He sees himself as some kind of avatar —in fact, he bumps off the baddies under the guise of Godly elements. At denouement, Shiva turns up as ]. Shiva says theat he is indeed the God. Woven into this simple masala story is the love angle with ]. Then there is also the comedy of ], which is indeed hilarious at places. | |||
its the worst crap i have ever seen in my life ... i would rather sit at home and watch "tom and jerry" ... the intro scene of ajith is one of the funniest shit one can ever imagine ...he proves that he is a complete fool at selecting scripts ..... | |||
Ajith’s character has not much confusion and delivers it with his usual aplomb. His intensity while dealing with the baddies is very real and absorbing. Asin is full of panache and shows her usual chirpiness. Vivek is back in his element and the comedy tracks carry his usual spark and spunk. The ] and ] are okay without doing anything extraordinary. The song could have been more imaginative and the same could have better captured. The director has not tried anything fancy. He has set out with a simple plan, to no let down Ajith‘s fans. That is what he has accomplished. | |||
+points | |||
The entertainment sticks to the distilled formula. The violence maybe heavy at places. But overall, the movie’s cadences are well measured out, a hit for ] and ] once again. | |||
you can always get tickets for this movie ... and u can praise the movie like how ajith fans do and send some friends you hate for a worst torture in their life !!! | |||

Song | Singer(s) | Review |
---|---|---|
Solli Tharava | Sadhana Sargam, Muhamad Salamad | A good beginning. A soft romantic number with excellent instrumentation. It is sure to be lapped up by melody-lovers. Srikanth Deva seems to have chosen his instruments very carefully for the song. The catchy lyrics coupled with good use of violin are other major hallmark of the song. What more Sadhana Sargam's voice is an icing in the cake. |
Pidikkum | Madhushree | A brisk number. The song begins on a slow note only to gather momentum as it progresses. Changing track in between, the catchy pallavi in the song strikes the listeners. Madhusree has sung it with lots of energy and her high-pitched voice that sets the momentum. |
Anbulla Kadhali | Kunal, Kushbu | It has become a must to have at least one song in an album these days inspired by the hip-hop music. Shrewd use of western instruments and 'open-throated' voice of Kushbu with a good chorus are the major highlights of the song. It is a 'run of the mill' kind of duet number. Additional rhythm and peppy beats by Srikanth Deva are impressive. |
Pallandu | Unnikrishnan, Senthildas | A song quite appropriate to listen this December music season. Srikanth Deva has struck to his basics here. He has come out with a song which is inspired by Carnatic music. With flawless Unnikrishnan's voice and a soothing accompaniment by the flute, the song sticks to our hearts immediately. |
Mayile Mayile | Srikanth Deva, Senthildas, Roshini, Suruthipriya, Arjun Thamas, Sujavitha |
A rocking song in the album. Energetic Srikanth Deva in the company of fresh and talented singers sets the right mood for the song in its very beginning. It has heavy chorus, good beats and lots of instrumentation. |
