I hope you didn't mind me changing the list a little on your userpage. Some of the people on it have articles now. I also added Paolo Bacigalupi, recent winner of the Sturgeon Award.Bjones 16:44, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Al, do you want to remove those folks on the checklist who've gone blue yourself (your page, after all), or can any self-important anal-retentive type do it without asking leave of you?--Orange Mike 22:27, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- You may feel free to go for it. Once the list is whittled down, I'll generate a new one. Alvonruff 02:42, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- On second thought - people can change the list, but could they put the deleted authors in another section? I would like to use the list to update all of the author's pages in the ISFDB, so that they can point to their Misplaced Pages articles. I can then clean out the deleted section once I've made the changes. Alvonruff 02:47, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not planning on changing the list, for now, but I did put it on my watchlist as I intend to turn several of the red-names blue. I might remove some of those blue-names later, or not, I haven't decided. I don't think any of the articles I create will be deleted though so I might.--T. Anthony 03:19, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
Hi Al: I was #6 on your list of most popular ISFDB authors w/out wikipedia pages. I am a difficult subject because of the different directions in which I've done things, so I took the liberty of making my own. Also there seemed to be a large number of web pages that referred to me without there being a page there to be linked to. Can you or somebody go over the page I made to make sure it functions as a Misplaced Pages page should? A stern administrator complained that I'd done autobiography, but bascially what I did was model the entry on what someone else had done with David's. Also, I did my own page because I didn't want to end up with a page about what blogwars I might have been in by someone who doesn't like my blog's politics. The bibliography and the books are the point. (You've still got me on the list of Award Winners without Misplaced Pages pages.) I've kept a copy in case someone overzealous deletes my entry because I wrote it myself. --Kathryn Cramer, January 25, 2007.

Fair use rationale for Image:OldMansWar.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:OldMansWar.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Misplaced Pages articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia 14:04, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
