I'm a Brit, and my main interest is birds, although I'll dabble in almost anything I come across.
Given that there are 9,000 species of birds, I'm concentrating on those I have actually seen (and some close relatives) in Britain, France, Spain, Cyprus, India, Canada, Florida and The Gambia.
However, North American birds take a fairly low priority, since there should be residents of that area able to do their own birds.
For those who are interested in the southern hemisphere, User:Tannin has done some good stuff.
