Cris Carter (born November 25, 1965) is a former football player. He played wide receiver for Philadelphia Eagles 1987-89, Minnesota Vikings 1990-2001 and Miami Dolphins 2002.

Carter attended Ohio State and was drafted by the Eagles in the 4th round of the 1987 NFL supplemental draft. He developed quite the drug habit while playing for the Eagles and head coach Buddy Ryan graciously let him slip away, and in the process, helped to coin one of ESPN's Chris Berman's famous quotes, "All he does is catch touchdowns".
