Ester Boserup is a Danish economist who has studied economical and agricultural development. She has worked at the United Nations and other international organizations and written several books.
In the book The Conditions of Agricultural Growth (from 1963) she argues, amongst other things, that technical, economical and social changes, are the results of increased population. This is in contrast to other writers in the field, such as Thomas_Malthus.
