Disamb.
There needs to be a Borderlands disamb. page, and the individual game infoboxes need to link to this series page. -2601:640:C400:BAA0:A8A9:B95B:6801:6B4C (talk) 23:31, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
Spin-off Games
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection could have been mentioned/described within the Spin-off Games section of this article, as it is indicated in the Release Timeline chart. SquashEngineer (talk) 15:30, 26 September 2019 (UTC)

Borderlands (series) → Borderlands (video game series) – There exist other series of things, including Borderland (book series) and a series of short story anthologies edited by Thomas F. Monteleone called Borderlands. Cnilep (talk) 04:07, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support . Also I'd recommend that after said move Borderlands (series) be recreated as a redirect to the disambiguation page Borderland. -- --Masem (t) 06:13, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support incomplete category dabs (series) should never be used for book series, TV series, video games series. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:55, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support. Video game series is more specific.SenatorLEVI (talk) 12:51, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose When another article about the anthologies is created and proven to be notable, it can be moved. Otherwise, per WP:SMALLDETAILS, Borderland (book series) and Borderlands (series) are two different things that do not need additional disambiguation.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 17:54, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
- Borderlands the VG series may be more popular, but from an encyclopedic POV, it and the book series have about the same "weight" in using the "(series)" name as both being contemporary media. Or to put it another way, Borderlands the VG is popular but it is not *that* well-known to displace all other topics from the "series" disambiguation term. (the prime example when we do that is the move of Michael Jackson's Thriller album to the "(album)" disambiguation over all other possible albums named Thriller, because of the extreme cultural significance of Jackson's album, per this discussion.) --Masem (t) 18:20, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
- As I read SMALLDETAILS, that relates to disambiguating titles without commas or parentheses (such as Airplane! versus Airplane). For titles with parenthetical disambiguators, I don't think there is any profit in having a small detail outside the parentheses plus an ambiguous parenthetical. Cnilep (talk) 03:46, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Zxcvbnm how is (series) a correct disambiguator for a video game series? In ictu oculi (talk) 15:00, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- "Series" works for any kind of series. Per WP:CONCISE, we don't need to say what type of series it is unless there are multiple series that share the same name, in which case I absolutely think it makes sense to further disambiguate.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 01:36, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose, owing to the fact that the book series doesn't seem to be called Borderlands. If it is, I'll revise this !vote, but I agree with the above comment by Zxcvbnm for now. Nohomersryan (talk) 20:02, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
- Based on WP:PLURALS, we should be looking at the non-plural form of the name of the VG series and the book series to consider conflict. Given that the general disambiguation page coverage both "Borderland" and "Borderlands" usages , we should be considering that too. --Masem (t) 16:06, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Borderlands, the game series, does not exist as a plural of Borderland, though, as it's a proper static title for a series. As a result, it can't adhere to most of the guidelines for plural titles there. There isn't any ambiguity with Borderland since it can't be referred to accurately as such. Similar to some of the examples at WP:PLURALPT (though a number of those have accurate singular forms) Nohomersryan (talk) 22:56, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose. This title is more concise, and unambiguous. Sandstein 09:10, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose I think this should remain the same and it should be renamed to Borderlands(franchise) instead. (although it could be early as the film is not out yet). Timur9008 (talk) 15:17, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose - name of the article should remain the same... Roberth Martinez (talk) 15:21, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

Borderlands (series) → Borderlands (franchise) – Safe to call it a media franchise when there are numerous comics, books and other spin-off material. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 14:15, 8 July 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. CLYDE /STUFF DONE (I will not see your reply if you don't mention me) 02:52, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
- Wait The current set of spinoff material is not notable on its own, more incidental to the video games, but when (if?) the film comes out, then the move makes sense. --Masem (t) 14:22, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
- Support regardless of the notability of the spin-off material, the fact that such official spin-off material exists shows that it is a franchise, where such spin-offs are not direct novelizations or soundtracks. The origins comics shows such, as not a comic novelization. -- 67.70.25.80 (talk) 23:51, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
- Wait - while the spin-offs exist, they are not notable alone. Per Masem, wait until the movie is released - and receives RS coverage - before such a move. The games are still (by far) the primary topic, so for now series is acceptable. Couruu (talk) 14:17, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
