Before making the kind of sweeping deletions you are making to American Civil War, you need to discuss things on the talk page first. I've reverted the deletions. NawlinWiki 14:54, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
oh sure.... Sorry
Aloha
Hello matey! Welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thanks for the edit to the American Civil War page; the Uncle Tom's Cabin section was, in my opinion, unnecessary. Just a warning before you go and edit the page again, it is the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade and, thus, slavery is a very hot topic at the moment. Also, there are quite severe differences of opinion on race issues and the American Civil War in the U.S., so editing the Civil War page may be futile for quite a while to come. Anyhow, I'm sure a member of the welcome committee will be along soon to say howdy and publish some kind of tutorial/faq on your talk page. If not, you can always swing by mine and use that. Hell, I'll just post up mine till someone else comes along and does a proper job. Happy trails matey! (btw, you can sign your name by typing four tildes (~). See you round! There's oodles of angry folk out there just waiting to get into an argument with you, so if people act like a moron, just forget about it! However, it's probably best to take the highground and just be pleasant all along, even if the other guy is an ass. If you feel that a gang of fiends with a penchant for lies and opinionated arguments have taken over a page, I'm afraid there's nothing you can do, this is a Democracy after all!
It really ain't as bad as I make it look.
Lastly, you can edit your user page with anything you fancy, including languages, interest, likes and dislikes, anything that floats your boat really. This can require a fair amount of HTML knowledge, so I just lift them from the templates page. Unfortunately, I can't actually remember where it is. I'm sure it's around here somewhere....
