Doğan Türkmen was a Turkish diplomat. He was attacked by the Armenian terror organization JCAG on February 6, 1980, in Bern, Switzerland where he was serving as ambassador of the Republic of Turkey.

A terrorist opened fire on Turkish Ambassador Dogan Türkmen, who escaped with minor wounds. The would-be-assassin, an Armenian named Max Klindjian, was subsequently arrested in Marseilles, France and returned to Switzerland for trial. The JCAG claimed credit for the attack.
