== CR vs CSAH? ==

Currently updating ], wondering what the convention is for whether to use CR or CSAH for county-operated roads, and when to do street name first and number in parentheses or the other way around. Thanks! ] (]) 12:50, 6 May 2024 (UTC)

:@]: well, there's two separate questions there. Some roads under county maintenance in Minnesota have support from the state, thus instead of just being a County Road, they are a County State-Aid Highway. That's the distinction between those two. Some counties further distinguish them by using the blue pentagons on the CSAHs and white squares on the CRs, but not all do.
:As for the second, that depends on the context. If you're talking about how to present it in the junction list, we follow the signage. In the running prose, either is appropriate. <span style="background:#006B54; padding:2px;">''']&nbsp;]'''</span> 01:08, 7 May 2024 (UTC)

I sure hope that this project isn't shutting down. It would be unfortunate for us to cave to the opinions of non-content contributors at an RfC who probably don't even know how to read a map. Bneu2013 (talk) 02:16, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
