Template editor

Sorry, unregistered users cannot be granted permissions due to technical restrictions. Please create an account in order to request user account permissions. (add request · view requests) Shortcuts See Misplaced Pages:Template editor for the granting guidelines.
  • Applicants should show some evidence that they generally meet the guidelines outlined there, and have a demonstrated need for the right.
  • Please note that most templates are not protected and can be edited without this access.
  • If a template you frequently edit had its protection level recently changed, ask the protecting admin if lowering the protection level is an option.

I often edit language and formatting-related templates, some of which are highly transcluded and thus protected. Remsense 07:18, 18 May 2024 (UTC)

Hello. I am re-applying for template editor rights, which I was granted on a temporary basis by Primefac (permalink) on 24 February; it is about to expire at 00:00, on 24 May. As I promised in my original request back in February, and as can be seen, I didn't misuse this right in any way. I used it in a very responsible manner, on a periodical basis, and I'm no longer obliged to bother others with template-protected edit requests, and basically have them to do my work for me when it comes to HRTs. Naturally, I would prefer if this right is extended on a permanent basis, but that is up to admins to decide. — Sundostund mppria 13:23, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

There are a number of highly visible protected templates inside my bots' userspace that I'd like to be able to modify again now that I am no longer an admin:

among others. — Naomi Amethyst 16:09, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
