"Woman's World" is a song by American singer Katy Perry. It is set to be released on July 11, 2024, as the lead single from her upcoming seventh studio album.
Background and release
Perry posted a fifteen-second teaser of her lip-syncing the song throughout social media on June 17. The artist also revealed the cover artwork featuring herself in a metallic "alien-like" pants designed by Victor Clavelly with a white bikini top, photographed by Jack Brigdland. The same day, she announced that the song would be released on July 11 and made it available for pre-order and pre-save via her website and various streaming services, with a music video premiering the next day.
Perry arrived at the Hôtel Ritz Paris in a black limo prior for Paris Fashion Week on June 25, wearing a Balenciaga gown featuring an approximate one hundred-yard train showcasing the song's lyrics in white lettering.
Critical reception
After the song's announcement, a snippet was released which met with negative criticism describing the lyrics being made from artificial intelligence. Rolling Stone later reported Perry "reconnected" with various producers who worked on her third studio album, Teenage Dream (2010). Many people criticized the artist for working with Dr. Luke on song about female empowerment, who was accused in defamation lawsuit against American singer Kesha due to sexual harassment.
