Incident

Disha (changed name to protect the identity) , a d postgraduate trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata, was found dead on August 9, 2024. Her body was discovered in a seminar hall on the college campus, and an autopsy confirmed she had been sexually assaulted and murdered. This incident has sparked significant outrage and protests, leading to demands for a thorough investigation.
