West Bengal

On 10th August , hundreds of junior doctors and paramedics from the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, Calcutta National Medical College , Medical College and Hospital, Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital as well as the government-run medical colleges outside of the city like the Burdwan Medical College and Hospital, Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital and other exempted themselves from their duties and protested for the safety of the medical institutions in the state. It was subjected to a heavy deployment of police and sparked dissatisfaction amongst the OPD patients who were deprived from the medical services as the protestors owed.
