Bruce Fuhrer is an Australian mycologist. He was awarded the Australian Natural History Medallion in 1989. He has written many books on Australian fungi. He worked for 25 years in the school of Biology at Monash University. Species authored include Rozites (now Cortinarius) armeniacovelatus
