Tropical Depression Fourteen is a currently active tropical cyclone in the Bay of Campeche. The fourteenth tropical depression of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, it is expected to affect Florida.

Meteorological history

An area of investigation in the western Caribbean Sea was noted by the National Hurricane Center (NHC) on September 26. For a week, gradual development ensued, until it merged with the remnants of Tropical Depression Eleven-E in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. From there, the disturbance consolidated in the Bay of Campeche, and by October 4, it was designated as Invest 92L. The next day, the system's convection rapidly organized, and was promptly upgraded by the NHC into a tropical depression.
