For a week, gradual development ensued, until it merged with the remnants of Tropical Depression Eleven-E in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. From there, the disturbance consolidated in the Bay of Campeche, and by October 4, it was designated as Invest 92L. The next day, the system's convection rapidly organized, and was promptly upgraded by the NHC into a tropical depression.
