The school rivals of Byrd Middle School are George H. Moody Middle School, Tuckahoe Middle School, and Poopville Elementary, and even the Craxymoo School for Idiots.Pocahontas Middle School. Schedule
Byrd Middle School runs on a block schedule. This means that there are four classes a day, each one lasting an hour and thirty minutes long. Students have four classes a day.
iBooks
Byrd is part of the Henrico County iBook program. Each student in the school gets an iBook G4 several weeks after school opens. These iBooks are brand new as of 2006. Also starting in 2006, the technology teacher Mr. Woodward created the "Technology Ninja" character who hosts short videos on iBook help topics. His website can be found here.
