On 26 December 2024, the ship, which forms part of the Russian shadow fleet, was boarded by Finnish police and border guards following a Christmas Day break in the Estlink 2 submarine cable beneath the Gulf of Finland. The ship was escorted to Porkkalanniemi where she was found to be missing her anchor.
