* Manikaran Sahib  Gurudwara- Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara has such popularity that many Sikh devotees reach here every year. Also, hot spring water is a special feature. All food of gurudwara is boiled in this water kund.

Kasol is a hamlet in the Kullu district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in Parvati Valley, on the banks of the Parvati River between Bhuntar and Manikaran. It is located 30 km (19 mi) from Bhuntar, 3.5 km from Manikaran and 36 km (22 mi) from Kullu town, the district headquarters. Kasol is the Himalayan hotspot for backpackers and acts as a base for nearby treks to Malana and Kheerganga. It is called Mini Israel of India due to a high percentage of Israeli tourists here.

Stunning views of Kasol

Visiting Kasol doesn’t require much money but requires effort to explore. Some of the stunning sites of Kasol are the following:-

  • Kheerganga Trek- The length of the trek is around 12 km and its beginning point is Barshaini. Above all, the trekking path is relatively easy and moderate to climb for beginners.
  • Chalal villages—The altitude of the Chalal village is around 5366 feet above sea level. With this in mind, the trek to the Chalal village is challenging, as the altitude and steep inclines increase the difficulty of this scenery.
  • Tirthan Valley- The Tirthan Valley trek covers around 20km distance. This trek has a moderate difficulty. The referred months are from May to October.
  • Tosh Valley- The Tosh Valley trek provides a picturesque view in its 6 km distance. The easy trek of Tosh Valley gives a peaceful and memorable place.
  • Rasol Trek- The distance of 8 km of Rasol Trek is one of the most amazing treks of Kasol.  The scenery of Parvati Valley, traditional villages, and waterfalls come with this moderately difficult trek.

Nearby airport and railway station

Due to its high altitude, Kasol is only connected to the rest of India by well-developed roads.

Kullu-Manali Airport(IATA: KUU, ICAO: VIBR) in Bhuntar is about 31 km away and is the closest airport to the village.It connects cities like Delhi, Shimla, Kolkata and more. Joginder Nagar is the nearest railway station and is about 144 km away.

Also, Chandigarh Airport (IXC) is 260 km from Kasol.

Climate

Kasol has good weather for several months of the year and receives a fair amount of snowfall from late December to February. Köppen-Geiger climate classification system classifies its climate as humid subtropical (Cwa).
