- comment There was no country like this. The Estonia SSR was granted some economic and civil liberties under the charter of USSR, thats all. A change in legistration does not make it a new country. No state symbols or government form changes at all. There was Estonian SSR(that was not an independent country) until reinstatement of Republic of Estonia in 1991. Besides that, this article contadics History of Estonia.
