Revision as of 19:09, 26 April 2005 edit63.97.201.6 (talk) I removed some seriously innaccurate information about Flowers' personal life. Don't know where it came from, but it was absolutely untrue.← Previous edit | Revision as of 23:11, 27 April 2005 edit undo24.118.45.30 (talk)No edit summaryNext edit → | ||

Brandon Flowers (born June 21 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada) is the vocalist and keyboardist in the American rock band The Killers. He was raised in Nephi, Utah, where the Flowers family moved when Brandon was eight. He later returned to Las Vegas.
Listening to the radio in his car after his first college class, Flowers heard the song "Changes" by David Bowie. He fell in love with the piece and realized he wanted to make music. He went to his next class, but walked out half-way through.
Flowers joined a band known as Blush Response, but the band booted Flowers in 2001 when he refused to move with the rest of them to Los Angeles, California.
One day, as he was entering the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel, Flowers was handed a free ticket to a nearly-finished Oasis concert, where he realized the importance of guitars.
File:Brandon Flowers.JPGThe Killers were spawned shortly thereafter when Flowers responded to an ad placed by guitarist David Keuning in the Las Vegas Weekly looking for a vocalist in order to form a band. Mark Stoermer later became the bassist and Ronnie Vannucci became the drummer.
Flowers is an Anglophile. The Killers first managed to become famous in Great Britain.
