Philip J. Morrison (1936 - December 8, 2006) was an American professor in physics at the University of Texas.

Biography

Born in 1936 in Kansas, his family migrated to California at an early age. It was here that he developed an interest in hydrodynamics. He is held to have exerted a significant influence over the subject area, and his books were published worldwide.
