Location

Blennerhassett Island Bridge is currently under construction. The bridge will be an tied-arch bridge upon its completion in November, 2007 at a cost of $120 million dollars. This is the final piece to the Corridor D project which is apart of the Appalachian Development Highway System. The bridge will be marked U.S. 50 for the entire structure once it's completed.

Details

The bridge will travel over the Ohio River and the historic Blennerhassett Island west of Belpre and Parkersburg. The bridge will be owned by the ODOT and WVDOT. The bridge is currently being constructed by the Walsh Construction Company of Chicago.
