Episode notability

All of the episodes of this series fail the notability guidelines for television episodes. The way for these articles to be improved is through the inclusion of real-world information from reliable sources to assert notability. That is unlikely to happen, and these only have certain bad aspects (though all may not apply) like containing overly long or one sentence plot summaries, trivia, and quotes. Per that, they need to be a small part of this list.

If there are no objections, these will be redirected soon. Otherwise, discussion will take place here. Please remember that this is not a vote. If you like the information, that's fine and dandy, but your opinion doesn't really count towards anything. The only opinions that do count are ones that that lean towards the inclusion of real world information. TTN 22:25, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

As of 05:42, Wednesday, October 17, 2007 (UTC), I see no mention of WP:EPISODE on WP:N so I doubt WP:EPISODE has a wide consensus among editors. --Pixelface 05:42, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
I should also note that WP:EPISODE is a content guideline, not a notability guideline. WP:EPISODE is mostly concerned with how to write a good television episode article. It is not "the notability guideline for television episodes" -- that doesn't exist. --Pixelface 06:13, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
Fine, if you want to be specific: they fail the notability guideline, and WP:EPISODE explains how they can pass it. These will be accordingly redirected a little later. TTN 14:50, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
You didn't put a {{notability}} tag on the articles. WP:N mentions no specific guidelines for television episodes. The merge tag is for discussing the merging of articles. It's not a notice that you're going to turn an article into a redirect. WP:SUMMARY says long articles should be split into sub-articles. TIME magazine named Pee-wee's Playhouse one of the top 100 best TV shows of all time. How can the show be notable and the episodes that the show is made up of not be notable? I notice you have not tagged any Simpsons episode articles to be merged. The Seven-Beer Snitch does not appear to meet the notability guideline. Perhaps you should tag that article as non notable. --Pixelface 02:08, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
If nobody shows interest from the merge tags, how would notability tags help? If an article does not meet the notability guideline, it doesn't meet the notability guideline. We don't have a specific clause for everything. We do not split articles for plot summaries per WP:NOT#PLOT, and the notability of each topic has to be established on its own. The Simpsons episodes are constantly being improved, and they have four FAs and over thirty GAs. Though, they will eventually get their turn. TTN 02:20, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
