:I've swallowed the Barnstar key :) . Twenty years ago...in a bar in Halifax...I met Lemmy. He's not a very big man but his presence in the bar seemed to cast a veil of fear and trepidation over all the bikers and longshoremen in the establishment. With great anxiety I walked up to him and struck up a brief conversation about A) That I was a fan and B) That Motorhead's music really meant a lot to me.''( I had tipped a few I expect I sounded like an idiot)''. Btw, I thought I messaged you a few days ago saying something... I said thanks and said a bit more about that renegade admin, I also mentioned something about this Republican I.P. address that only seems to make discussion page edits. He seems to, usually, only add discussion to fairly controversial topics such as ]. They're usually POV and crap, so I have so far either removed them for being off-topic or pointed out that he and his source are wrong . He has made a bunch of those sorts of claims on other liberal-orientated articles. I don't know if he can be classed as a troll as such but he still seems like a <small>prick</small>. Are people allowed to only make discussion edits? He also made a stab at Britain on the Glasgow Bombing article discussion page which duly irritated me. I wanted to rip into him for that but just removed it for being off topic. |

I'd say no. If we wanted to we could enforce this in the template by making the infobox not generate the members sections for non-group artists. Or perhaps there should be an option to add a separate section to a non-group artists for backing bands, using the group_or_band color, using a "Misc" section or similar, like we do for albums. This section could then also include <em>the name</em> of the backing band. |

Oh yeah, malfunction, he has been around. And I see you along with others keeping him off. Besides this, there is one small problem though. regarding the black metal bands (first wave) viz. venom, hellhammer, celtic frost. now basically these bands are thrash, as far as i gather from their wp articles, well thrash with satan worship, pseudonyms, and corpsepaint. They are different from the black metal bands, mayhem and all. I was thinking whether they really belong to the thrash list: wp cites their albums as thrash, speed, black; and is not of much help. As of now they are on the list. |

That's a tougher call isn't it? I have never thought of them as a thrash band myself. I always thought they were the first death metal band... the first one I ever heard anyways. But yes, they do have that one album that's always cited as a more straight ahead thrash album... and a good one at that. Your call... I certainly see no harm in their mention. It's pretty obvious that all the earliest death metal bands started out as thrash bands and then injected that "other element" that separates the two genres. Likely from the early Slayer influence + Dark Angel and the first Exodus' Bonded by Blood... are all the 'blueprints' that influenced the early death metal shift.. especially the Florida scene. ] 15:06, 31 October 2007 (UTC) |
