Her flatmate broke down and reportedly told Police that she heard screaming then blocked her ears, and felt confused, but her boyfriend was in the bedroom with Merideth at the time of the screams. The other suspects have seemingly lied to police as the investigation continues.

A knife has been reportedly found in one of the residents homes that are involved in the case, this news was reported at 1am 8th November 2007.
