James Ian Morrison, 2nd Baron Margadale (July 17, 1930April 6, 2003) was the son of Major John Morrison, 1st Baron Margadale and Hon. Margaret Esther Lucie Smith.

He married Clare Barclay, daughter of Anthony Lister Barclay, on 14 October 1952 and had three children:

  • The Honourable Hugh Morrison, born 1960, married Jane Jenks in 1986 and had two children:
    • Geordie Anthony Morrison, 1989
    • Amanda Belinda Morrison, 1993
