The Kavkaz Center (the Caucasus Center) is a Chechen independent international Islamic internet agency. It was founded in March 1999 in the city of Grozny. It was founded by the National Center for Strategic Research and Political Technologies. Covering events in the Islamic world, especially in the Caucasus and Russia, the Kavkaz Center is based in the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.
