Google Print in fact does allow full browsing (and pdf download) of PD works, as in the case with the one I cited in that article. And . I was planning to expand this article and maybe create another one (one the civil war) itself, and update the references to specific pages in the mentioned book, instead of the current passage of several pages, but the atmosphere of this discussion made me concentrate on more friendly areas on Misplaced Pages. double-slit article

Thanks for tagging that article. It's got some just plain incomprehensible writing in it -- something I hate to try to edit because if it is bad enough I can't even tell what the person was trying to say.

Anyway, it would be helpful if you would have another look and add "citation" tags where you would like more references. Part of the problem with something like this article is that the basics are dead simple and the fan-out is incredible. Everybody who writes (and who knows basically what s/he is talking about) starts with the same basics and then fans out to wherever s/he wants to go. So once you've cited Young and Huygens and a couple of others you've got the basics. But I just found one place where someone had put in a bunch of formulae. Probably they are perfectly o.k., but the guy should have cited his textbook. I managed to find another textbook and another set of formulae so it's o.k., but why didn't the writer give that info when s/he was writing? I'm betting that s/he wasn't dragging it out of memory.

If you can help me spot anything remaining that needs a citation, please just tag it. I am going over the article from top to bottom, and I guess I'm about half-way through. P0M (talk) 20:18, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

barnstar

Thanks mate!

--TheJosh (talk) 09:20, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Thank you for the barnstar—it's been a few months. Let's hope the support continues and we can get the redirect done. It's made sense for a long time; but we won't rush to redirect, given what happened with ATT. Cheers, Marskell (talk) 18:30, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Hello, Jonny-mt! Thank you very much more the milk and WikiCookie! I am flattered by your offer for adminship, but I am not the perfect candidate, I can make mistakes on on new pages, and I'd like to hold off until I can fix that. Thank you very much, though! Happy editing! Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 22:31, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Oh, by the way, I am going to have an RFA sometime soon on the Simple English Misplaced Pages. Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 23:17, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Mazel Tov (band)

I don't mind that you reverted my removal of the SD tag. I just don't think it is appropriate to mark these kinds of pages for speedy less than 60 seconds after created, and I know that doing that is against some policy or guideline somewhere. There is just a difference between making a page for a band, and making a page that says "Tom is the coolest person alive"; obviously the second one should immediately be tagged A7. Anyways, 10 minutes without any other edits is appropriate in my opinion to re-tag, which you did. I planned on re-checking it anyways, but you just beat me to it. - Rjd0060 (talk) 06:45, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

I understand what you mean. I just wanted to give that guy a few minutes to get his act (article) together because he was having a difficult time (see here). Anyways, see this comment that I left for the user trying to explain it. I know how it goes, as I do a lot of RC patrol myself. I trust your judgement, and I've seen you around here. I was just trying to give that new user the benefit of the doubt, which, well, didn't work this time. - Rjd0060 (talk) 17:04, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

I still am new to this site and I do not know all of the different commands for each CSD tag, except for the G1 and the A7 tags...anyways, thanks for letting me know about that. -Razorflame (talk) 19:47, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

In response to your comments, does that mean an article could then eventually be made, if it was referenced with reliable sources and made claim of its notabilty? If so, how would you go around creating such an article if it is blocked off? ISD (talk) 14:47, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

The phrase its over 9000! Is from youtube, and is a semi-popular video there. I do not know the user that is in question, he probably got the phrase from the youtube video, like I did. DBZROCKSIts over 9000!!! 20:34, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Scott5114's RFA

Thank you for taking the time to participate in my recent RFA nomination. I have withdrawn the nom early at 17/13/3. I am presently going to undergo admin coaching in preparation for a second candidacy somewhere down the line. I hope to see your potential support in the future. Opinion

Hello and thanks for your opinion on Ostrów Agreement. I clarified a bit the problem, which I am facing, I hope you can address it. Cheers, M.K. (talk) 10:19, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Jay2k

this page was created because when ever i sign anythi9ng on here is shows Jay2k insted OF MY REAL user name Jay2k (talk) 11:55, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Well, the simple answer would be either redirecting the page at User:Jay2k to User:L.Wadsworth or to sign using your current username. User pages do not belong in the article namespace. --jonny-mt(c)I'm on editor review! 11:57, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Google Print and PD works

Google Print in fact does allow full browsing (and pdf download) of PD works, as in the case with the one I cited in that article. And M.K knows Polish language well enough to translate when he wants to. I was planning to expand this article and maybe create another one (one the civil war) itself, and update the references to specific pages in the mentioned book, instead of the current passage of several pages, but the atmosphere of this discussion made me concentrate on more friendly areas on Misplaced Pages. I have created the article, it has been subject so heavy disruption, and I am content with ensuring it does not deteriorate - improving it further just seems too painful.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 19:08, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Smg powerstar.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Smg powerstar.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:17, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
