Borderline WP:CSD#G11 as blatant pomp. Desperate assertions by the author do not bode well. Utterly unbalanced. However it does assert notability - the question would be as to how notable. Reccommend delete, without prejudice to recreation if the balance can be improved and the community agrees that being approved by Gerald Ford makes someone notable Pedro : Chat 21:21, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

- Keep and cleanup. I don't often find many candidates who advocate abandoning the drug war effort entirely. There are severe NPOV problems of course, but not enough to warrant deletion. How significant is he as a contender for the seat? Also, I moved something inappropriately pasted in the article space into this afd's talk page. - Delete. No assertion of notability. WP:Bio states: "Just being an elected local official, or an unelected candidate for political office, does not guarantee notability, although such a person may be notable for other reasons besides their political careers alone."
