Tim Westwood

Please can you stop making wildly sweeping changes to this article - it's the subject of a clean-up, and furthermore, as a courtesy to editors who've made substantial changes and worked hard on this article, major changes - like an uncited change to someone's name should be discussed on the extensive talk pages. I'm sure, your edits are well intentioned, but please remember editors work hard on creating articles to Misplaced Pages's exacting standards. Thanks. Escaper7 13:26, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Dialling code of Cardiff

Hi Welshleprechaun. I thought I'd let you know I've wiped the Dialling code of Cardiff article and I've converted it to a redirect to 0207 and 0208 which seemed to be the most appropriate one. I put my reasons onto Talk:Dialling code of Cardiff. If you disagree with what I've done, then just go ahead and revert my change. (In case you can't see how to revert the change, click here and save.) Also, if you do revert, I will then nominate the article for deletion to get other people's opinions on whether Dialling code of Cardiff should exist as an article. Cheers, --A bit iffy 07:50, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Cardiff

Cardiff Central most certainly does not have 9 platforms, unless another island was magically constructed in the 24 hours since I was there last, when it clearly had 7. Air passengers in South Wales are served by both Cardiff and Bristol, and I have in my own experience seen as many folk from the southwest take off from Bristol as did from Cardiff. 81.104.175.145 15:40, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

The problem is that many people assume that as Platforms 3 and 4 are divided into 'a' and 'b' sections, they count as 4 platforms and not 2. However, these 'a' and 'b' halves do not make separate platforms. They simply mean the platform has a capacity of two trains. If this logic was used at Leeds City station, it would have 44 platforms. Various lesiure centers

I declined to delete these articles, as they were not empty, containing usually several paragraphs of information and giving the context clearly as leisure centers in the towns mentioned. But I do not think they are notable, and they had no references showing otherwise, so I listed them for WP:PROD proposed deletion, giving 5 days to improve the articlesDGG 22:20, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

029

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article 029, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and Misplaced Pages's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. MastCell 18:04, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Cardiff Central to Newcastle Line

I don't mean to ruin your evening's efforts, but I really don't think that the article Cardiff Central to Newcastle Line is necessary. It isn't a physical line as such, it describes a service that operates once a day over other lines, that already have articles about them. So I am afraid I have proposed it for deletion, sorry.

Regarding you having added it to the previous/next station boxes, you may want to read this discussion. --RFBailey 01:50, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Cardiff BRT

Please can you add some refernces as to why the Cardiff Bus routes you added to Bus Rapid Transit qualify as such? MickMacNee (talk) 18:11, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

As none are forthcoming, I'm removing it for now, I can't find anything that suggests it is anything more than an improved route, and not BRT. MickMacNee (talk) 11:42, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

This is your only warning.
The next time you make a personal attack as you did at Swansea railway station, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. WelshBloke (talk) 12:41, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Newcastle University

Unless you're unaware of the University's rebranding to Newcastle University sometime in 2006, I'm curious as to why you've decided to move it back to its old name. EditorInTheRye (talk) 22:45, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm afraid I can't find a source, I believe I read it in the Courier (student newspaper) last year, though. Anyway, if you go onto their site you'll see almost exclusively that form of the name used (save for old documents), and a Google search gives mostly the same story. Bus Rapid Transit in Cardiff

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Bus Rapid Transit in Cardiff, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Misplaced Pages:What Misplaced Pages is not and Misplaced Pages:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Misplaced Pages or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Bus Rapid Transit in Cardiff

An editor has nominated Bus Rapid Transit in Cardiff, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Bus Rapid Transit in Cardiff and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 16:14, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Edit warring with 90.203.45.168

Please refer to User talk:90.203.45.168 for my thoughts on the behaviour between yourself and this IP-only editor. Whilst I have at the moment only blocked that user for reverting various articles, or making unexplained edits, I am also aware that some of your edits may be questionable, specifically as relating to POV/NPOV issues. --AlisonW (talk) 19:28, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

In one sense I would write that you both seem to be as bad as each other and should *talk* first on the article discussion pages concerned, indeed although it is some years since I lived in Cardiff I can see that you both represent the same issues differently. Might I suggest that you *both* discuss these matters before *either* of you edit this group of articles again? otherwise the repercussions might be more serious. --AlisonW (talk) 19:44, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Peace offering

In light of these events, and the good edits made (Heart of Wales Line comes to mind), I am willing to make a suggestion. Take a look at WP:1RR. If you are willing to agree if your edits are reverted, you will first raise the matter on the talk page, explain your edit, await a satisfactory response from other editors (be it me or anyone else - allow a couple of days), and only then repeat the edit, I am willing to do you the same courtesy. However, you must be willing to recognize your own biases, and try to set them aside - otherwise we'll only end up back in this mess. Will you agree to discuss before repeating your edits? 90.203.45.168 (talk) 20:03, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Note that an additional condition to this offer is that you act civilly. That means no more sarcastic comments such as this. 90.203.45.168 (talk) 20:09, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

I have asked you nicely to provide a full justification for your formatting, which you seem intent on not doing. Therefore you leave me no option other than to leave this:

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you violate Misplaced Pages's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did to Valley Lines, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. 90.203.45.168 (talk) 19:33, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

While we're at it, can you please not spread your own petty disputes to the talk pages of other users? You were asked a simple question. You have not completely answered it. Please do so. 90.203.45.168 (talk) 19:35, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
