This is the complete episode listing for all the animation produced for Oh My Goddess!. The series consists of five OVA episodes, one film, forty-eight 7-minute mini-episodes, and a currently-airing series with forty-six 25-minute TV episodes (under the name "Ah! My Goddess") from the first season and second season airing.
History
During late 1993 through early 1994, the Template:Nihongo-Title Original Video Animation series was produced by AIC, featuring the central characters of Kosuke Fujishima's popular Oh My Goddess! series. It is distributed by Pony Canyon in Japan and in North America by AnimEigo. The storyline initially parallels the early parts of the original manga, and is similar to early episodes of the later 2005 TV series, but soon moves off onto a tangent of its own.
A 48 episode TV series Template:Nihongo-Title series featuring shrunken versions of Urd, Belldandy, and Skuld in a comedic super deformed style was produced by Oriental Light and Magic and was first broadcast on WOWOW as a part of the omnibus show Anime Complex in 1998. It is distributed in Japan by Pony Canyon and in North America by Geneon Entertainment. This series departs the most from the basic manga storyline, and indeed, shares next to no continuity with the previous series.
A film, titled Template:Nihongo-Title, premiered on October 10, 2000 in Japan. It saw the return of the main cast, along with several popular characters from the manga who had not appeared in any of the previous anime series. It is distributed in Japan by Shochiku and in North America by Geneon Entertainment when it was licensed in 2001. The plot does not seem to follow any of the existing canon, but uses plot devices from several different story arcs from the manga.
A TV series, simply titled Template:Nihongo-Title, premiered on Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) on 6 January 2005 with the episode "You're a Goddess? (Kimi wa Megami-sama?)" and concluded on July 7 2005, and is an ongoing series. Season one concluded with episode 24, although the Japanese and North American DVD releases include episodes 25 and 26.
A second season, titled Template:Nihongo-Title (titled Flights of Fancy in North America), premiered on Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) on April 6 2006 and concluded on September 14 2006, picking up the story from where the series left off in season one. Season two concluded with episode 22, although the Japanese DVD releases include episodes 23 and 24.
