Shel Talmy (born August 11, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, United States) is a notable record producer. He has worked with such musicians as The Who, The Kinks, and David Bowie.

He was raised in West Hollywood, California, and moved to London in the early 1960s. He returned to the United States in 1980. Largely inactive in the late 1970s and early 1980s, he returned to production activity with In Heat by 1960s revivalists, The Fuzztones, in 1988.
