Danielaustinhall12 (talk · contribs) - Danielaustinhall12 is a dedicated member of Misplaced Pages who is relatively new, yet has joined WikiProject roller coasters and has already made a page for an important type of roller coaster. He has also usefully edited many other pages. He deserves to be an administrator. Halldandude (talk) 23:04, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here:
I kindly and gratefully accept my nomination to be an administrator of wikipedia.Danielaustinhall12 (talk) 00:32, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Misplaced Pages as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: I intend to take part in admin work with the roller coaster project that I have joined. This is because I love roller coasters and I want to help write more articles about them all the time, and I think that this admin position will help me to achieve my dream.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Misplaced Pages, and why?
- A: My best contributions to wikipedia are the Thrust Air 2000 article that I wrote and the necessary editing to articles I have done over time.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: I have been in one conflict with editing on Socalist Republic because I had a misconception about politics. I dealt with it by admitting that the other people were right and not ruining their talk pages or anything.
Optional Questions from §tepshep
- 4. You find out that an editor, who's well-known and liked in the community, has been using sockpuppets abusively. What would you do?
- 5. An editor asks you to mediate in a dispute that has gone from being a content dispute to an edit war (but not necessarily a revert war), with hostile language in edit summaries (that are not personal attacks). One involved party welcomes the involvement of an admin, but the other seems to ignore you. They have both rejected WP:RFC as they do not think it would solve anything. Just as you are about to approach the user ignoring you, another admin blocks them both for edit warring and sends the case to WP:RFAR as a third party. Would you respect the other admin's decisions, or would you continue to engage in conversation (over email or IRC) and submit a comment/statement to the RFAR? Let's say the ArbCom rejects the case. What would you do then?
- 6. When should cool down blocks be used and why?

Discussion
- Suggest SNOW-closure. Enigma Review 02:24, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Support
- Support - For being WP:BOLD and giving this a whirl. Come back when you have experience mate!Wisdom89 (T / ) 02:13, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Support d00d, danielaustinhall12 is teh shit--KojiDude 02:17, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Moral support. You may have great spirit, but you unquestionably need more experience before getting 'the mop'. Maybe some day in the future... Spinach Dip 01:59, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Oppose
- Oppose sorry, but with fewer than 150 edits, there simply isn't enough evidence available to support you. In general at least 2000 edits over 3-4 months would be required to ensure you understand Misplaced Pages's policies and can apply them in a fair and calm manner. You don't use edit summaries which is pretty much a requirement, and the answers you gave to the questions above show that you don't really understand what an admin does. Gwernol 00:39, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Comment I would strongly urge the candidate to withdraw this nomination as soon as possible. Nick (talk) 00:58, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy Close. Per WP:SNOW.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Redmarkviolinist (talk • contribs)

- Oppose per Gwernol. Juliancolton 01:41, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Strong Oppose - suggest withdrawl. - Is this some kind of a joke? You started around a month and a bit ago. You have 12 edits in the namespace and four of those are because of editing this RFA. And you also tried to speedy a page on humour clearly showed that it was supposed to be kept for a humourous purpose. Come back in a year. Fattyjwoods 01:50, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Let's assume good faith here, and not bite the newcomers, please. — scetoaux (T|C) 01:55, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry - my bad but it seems that the nom may be another account of the candidates and he doesnt seem to be very new - knows how to file a RFA application. Fattyjwoods 02:00, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

- Oppose More experience needed, and you don't seem to have a clear idea of what adminship entails. Please come back after some more months. Enigma Review 02:24, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Neutral
- I would agree that this user is on the right track, but I think he should wait a few months onger before re-applying. Editorofthewiki 02:12, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
