Arram is a small (population 200) farming hamlet in the East Riding of Yorkshire, close to Leconfield. The main feature is its railway station, proximity to [[RAF It's station is on the main scarborough to hull line with regular services to each, and a thriving fishing industry

DESCRIPTION A pleasant, quiet stretch of the tidal River Hull that fishes best in late summer and early autumn

FISH Lots of gudgeon at the side, Perch to over a 1lb, roach to 1.5lb, Bream to 8lb and good Pike. Some dace and the very occasional chub. Lots of eels early in the season.

TACTICS Stick float with bronze maggot fro roach, legered bread for the bream, chopped worm tactics for the perch

There is archealogical interest in arram, with a Excavation of a Marginal Iron Age/Romano British settlement site in the River Hull Valley. Previous work has revealed Roundhouses, enclosure ditches, ring ditches and evidence for bronze casting planned soon.

all in all a nice but unremarkable village in east yorkshire.
