WWE Legends of WrestleMania will be the first video game in the WWE Legends of WrestleMania professional wrestling series. The video game will be based on legends and alumni of the professional wrestling promotion, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), who have appeared at WrestleMania. It will be released in March 2009 to coincide with WrestleMania XXV. The video game will be a new introduction to the WWE SmackDown! series. Production of the video game was announced in May 2008 by THQ, respectively for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 video game consoles. The game is being developed by YUKE's Future Media Creators and will be published by THQ, the same publisher for all WWE SmackDown! video games.
