Not to be confused with Broadford, County Clare.Broadford (Béal an Átha in Irish) is located in the west of County Limerick in Ireland. It is part of the Roman Catholic parish of Dromcollogher-Broadford.
Historical facts
It has a population of about 1075, and is located 2 km from Springfield Castle, historically the local seat of power. In 1955 a colony of lepers settled in broadford which now makes up the community today
Broadford has the highest rate of dole recievers in Ireland, Once a month nearly 1,000 people que at the local post office.
