Apologies for that inappropriate revert... I was confused. The article appears to be in good hands as long as you are keeping an eye on it. Thanks. --] 16:51, 8 September 2005 (UTC) | Apologies for that inappropriate revert... I was confused. The article appears to be in good hands as long as you are keeping an eye on it. I want to file a complaint against LJS, but I don't know how. I think you mentioned a specific form this complaint is supposed to take - an RFC or something. This is utterly ridiculous and he is seriously undermining the credibility of Misplaced Pages, given that most people probably are looking up information on Katrina at the moment. I'm just tired of having to guard the article, and I've noticed weariness has started to take it's toll, as I've gotten rather snappy in talk. I'd really like to bring this to the attention of anyone who can block LJS --] 23:24, 10 September 2005 (UTC) |

Would you like to work on The Clinton Chronicles?
Fair Use
BTW can you tell at afp.com http://www.afp.com/english/links/?pid=copyright&item=3 they have fair use of photos. I cant understand what they say. I want to use a photo of Bush on Air Force One looking at New Orleans.
- I think this is the relevant copyright disclaimer as it is for AFP proper and not the RSS feed. I would be inclined to think it falls under Template:Copyrighted, however, that means you can't upload it since this is after May 19, 2005 so they will be deleting things. So, I doubt it can be used, but, if I find out anything further I will tell you. gren グレン 19:48, 1 September 2005 (UTC)
- It might fall under Template:PermissionAndFairUse (you would have to link the AFP copyright page) since GFDL would govern third party aspects of this since it's a non-commercial license? I'm really not sure... but, I'm sure someone here knows.... gren グレン 19:52, 1 September 2005 (UTC)
- I just saw Template:Verifieduse which leads you to Misplaced Pages:Fair use. You may be able to get the image approval there, since it's a fair use verification system apparently. gren グレン 19:54, 1 September 2005 (UTC)

Vandalism
I went in to revert Erwin Walsh's sockpuppet template in anon 172 userpage and saw you got there first. Just so you know, I don't agree with userpage vandalism, but the sockpuppet accusation is probably correct, except stating that User:Hipocrite is the main account was wrong. Anon 172 is a long standing troll I have been dealing with for months and his most recent vandalism in talk pages associated with the Hurricane Katrina situation was what got my ire: Although slight...I have a zero tolerance threshold for anyone violating those particular articles.--MONGO 20:11, September 3, 2005 (UTC)
- Excuse me? Are you accusing me of vandalizing Hurricane Katrina? Hipocrite - «Talk» 03:49, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

Just a heads up, he's arrived at Hurricane Katrina...
Hurricane Katrina
Couple posters battling use of Economist Cover. Is if fair use? I see Time everywhere with disclaimers it is... but I dont know. Thanks.Kyle Andrew Brown 05:23, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry, no idea, I am not a lawyer. I am involved in drafting laws from time to time and I give testimony in cases from time to time so I have a very detailed understanding of a tiny number of legal issues. --Gorgonzilla 01:50, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
Apologies - Nagin Article is in Good Hands
Apologies for that inappropriate revert... I was confused. The article appears to be in good hands as long as you are keeping an eye on it. Thanks. --AStanhope 16:51, 8 September 2005 (UTC)
