Markus Beyer (born April 28, 1971 in Erlabrunn) is a German born boxer at super middleweight, who resides in Cologne, Germany. He represented his native country at the 1996 Summer Olympics, in the light middleweight division. He also competed in the Barcelona Games of 1992, and won a bronze medal at the 1995 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Berlin.
Amateur Highlights
- Record: 274 Fights - 235 Wins
- 1988 East German Featherweight Champion, won the Junior European Flyweight Championship in Gdansk, Poland beating Zoltan Lunka (Romania) in the final.
- 1989 2nd place at the Junior World Championship in Bayamon, Puerto Rico as a Featherweight
- 1992 competed at the Barcelona Olympics as a Light Middleweight. Results were:
- Defeated Sililo Figota (New Zealand) PTS (16-2)
- Lost to Juan Carlos Lemus (Cuba) RSCH-1
- 1993 German Light Middleweight Champion, competed at the World Championships in Tampere, Finland
