'Broadford - The Musical' is the brainchild of local residents that include Paddy The Leper, Seamus The Sodomite & Holly The Hooker. It's a magical story of a village that has to overcome the prejudice of racial hatred ('''note''': all Broadford people are descended Charlie The Chimpanzee, a visitor to West Limerick in 1802) & religious bigotry ('''note''': Donkey Worship being the predominant religion of Broadford). Cursed by their facial similarities to monkeys & confused why the world wont understand that Dessie The Donkey is the one true God, a brother & sister ('''note''': they are also lovers, as is the tradition in Broadford) called Micko & Maud McBroadford (quite the coincidence yes?) embark on a torrid journey of tears, laughter & incestuous love which sees them journey as far afield as Feenagh to preach the good news that 'Yes, I'm from Broadford & I'm Proud!". The final scenes are quite emotional as Micko is killed by an out of control ice-cream machine & Maud returns to Broadford for a life of misery with her 2nd cousin Paudie 'One Ear' McBroadford RIP. | 'Broadford - The Musical' is the brainchild of local residents that include Paddy The Leper, Seamus The Sodomite & Holly The Hooker.
