Pasboudin
Hi Mike. I left a message on Pasboudin's page. Please let me know what happens with it. Thanks. Danny 01:01, 11 September 2005 (UTC)
Hi Mike I just wanted to check if you accept Norvy's compromise suggestion that the article say: Although some sources originally reported that the first album would be titled Hypnotize, it ended up being titled Mezmerize. Please let me know. Danny 02:34, 11 September 2005 (UTC)
Thanks
Hi Mike. Thanks for reverting the anon AOL vandal's attacks on my talk page. I only wish that the idiot would realise that I never see his work unless I go looking for it, thanks to the efforts of good folks like yourself, because he works in the middle of the night my time! -- Arwel 13:23, 17 September 2005 (UTC)

thanks
Mike, just wanted to quickly leave you a note to thank you for the great work you've been doing on a number of music articles, your work doesn't go unnoticed. Jtkiefer ----- 23:42, 18 September 2005 (UTC)
What vandalism is and isn't
Hi; contrary to your message here, a good-faith difference of opinion about content is not necessarily vandalism. Please read Misplaced Pages:Vandalism for the exact defintion of this term on Misplaced Pages. Thanks. Noel (talk) 02:56, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
PS: I don't usually check other User_talk: pages (so that I don't have to monitor a whole long list of User_Talk: pages - one for each person with whom I am having a "conversation"), so please leave any messages for me on my talk page (above); if you leave a message for me here I probably will not see it. I know not everyone uses this style (they would rather keep all the text of a thread in one place), but I simply can't monitor all the User_talk: pages I leave messages on. Thanks!
Vandalism to User:Pasboudin
Please stop making test edits to Misplaced Pages. It is considered vandalism, which, under Misplaced Pages policy, can lead to being blocked from editing. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. Owen× ☎ 02:18, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
Hypnotize
Hi Mike. I wanted to talk to you about the argument that is going on at Hypnotize. I understand that you think it is important to mention that the order of the albums' release was originally reported backwards. Some people think it's not important. I'm not sure how I feel about it. But if we do include it, I think that it should be a short mention. Giving the exact dates of when people thought it would be released doesn't add much to the article. My favorite album released this year With Teeth, had many different release dates and delays before it finally came out. Did you read my edit here? I thought that it kept the important information about the album switch, but didn't go into too much extra detail. Pasboudin and some others at the page think it is a fair compromise. Can you tell me what about it you didn't like? I understand you might be a little upset about it, so if you need to take some time before you answer, that's cool. Thanks. -- Norvy (talk) 06:55, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
Block
Mike Garcia, I have blocked you for 48 hours for making a WP:3RR violation and a prohibited death threat.
Here's the WP:3RR violation, on Hypnotize:
- 1st revert: 01:09, September 21, 2005
- 2nd revert: 01:51, September 21, 2005
- 3rd revert: 01:53, September 21, 2005
- 4th revert: 01:55, September 21, 2005
- 5th revert: 02:22, September 21, 2005
- 6th revert: 02:33, September 21, 2005
You made this revert: , with the edit summary "PASBOUDIN, PLEASE STOP NOW OR I'LL KILL YOU". This is considered a personal attack (specifically listed on the page), and may also be considered a "personal attack(s) which place(s) user(s) in danger" (part of Misplaced Pages:Blocking policy). While I am sure you did not mean it and were very frustrated at the moment, this kind of behavior is not acceptable on Misplaced Pages.
The reason I've given you a 48 hour block rather than the customary 24 hour block for WP:3RR violations is because you've been blocked for a WP:3RR violation in the past before, and I've explicitly warned you not to make more than three reverts in a 24 hour period, regardless of who is "right" or "wrong". Your six reverts in under an hour and a half, plus your previous experience, combined with the threat, led me to a 48 hour block.
That being said, I sincerly hope that you use this time to contemplate your actions, and that when you return, you will be more cool-headed and patience. Thank you for your understanding, and also for your contributions. If you have any questions, just post them at your talk page (you can still edit it while blocked); I've put it on my watchlist. Thanks again. Flcelloguy | A note? | Desk 20:01, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
- Also, don't use anon IPs to circumvent 3RR blocks... this will only lead to more trouble. Sasquatcht|c 00:04, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
