Storm History
In the last week of September, a very large non-tropical system over the north-central Atlantic slowly moved westward away from the Azores. As it entered warmer waters, it slowly gained tropical characteristics and was declared Subtropical Storm Laura early on September 29.
Impact
Currently, seeing as Laura has not made land or is near land, therefore no damage or effects have been made. However Laura could make landfall over the United Kingdom in Europe and Ireland - also in Europe later in life as a predicted extra-tropical low.

As of 11 a.m. AST (1500 UTC) September 29, Subtropical Storm Laura is located within 20 nautical miles of 37.4°N 47.8°W, about 695 mi (1120 km) south-southeast of Cape Race, Newfoundland and Labrador. Maximum sustained winds are 50 knots (60 mph, 95 km/h), with stronger gusts. Minimum central pressure is 995 mbar (hPa; 29.38 InHg), and the system is moving west-northwest at 7 kt (8 mph, 13 km/h).
Laura is a large storm; 40 mph (65 km/h) winds (equivalent to tropical storm-force) extend out up to 275 mi (445 km) from the centre.
