The first live show saw her singing the Sinéad O'Connor hit Nothing Compares 2 U". These were followed by performances of "My Heart Will Go On", "All That Jazz", "Because of You", "Hot Stuff", and "The Power of Love". She was often highly praised by the judges for her strong vocals throughout the show, especially by former judge Sharon Osbourne. Further on in the competition, performances of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Fields of Gold" won her a place in the semi-finals, where she was voted out after her renditions of Fleetwood Mac's "Songbird" and Whitney Houston's "One Moment in Time".
