Warning: active arbitration remedies

The contentious topics procedure applies to this article. This article is related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, which is a contentious topic. Furthermore, the following rules apply when editing this article:

  • You must be logged-in and extended-confirmed to edit or discuss this topic on any page (except for making edit requests, provided they are not disruptive)
  • You may not make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on any edits related to this topic

Editors who repeatedly or seriously fail to adhere to the purpose of Misplaced Pages, any expected standards of behaviour, or any normal editorial process may be blocked or restricted by an administrator. Editors are advised to familiarise themselves with the contentious topics procedures before editing this page.

Further information
The exceptions to the extended confirmed restriction are:
  1. Non-extended-confirmed editors may use the "Talk:" namespace only to make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided they are not disruptive.
  2. Non-extended-confirmed editors may not create new articles, but administrators may exercise discretion when deciding how to enforce this remedy on article creations. Deletion of new articles created by non-extended-confirmed editors is permitted but not required.

With respect to the WP:1RR restriction:

  • Clear vandalism of whatever origin may be reverted without restriction. Also, reverts made solely to enforce the extended confirmed restriction are not considered edit warring.
  • Editors who violate this restriction may be blocked by any uninvolved administrator, even on a first offence.

After being warned, contentious topics procedure can be used against any editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Misplaced Pages, any expected standards of behaviour, or any normal editorial process. Contentious topic sanctions can include blocks, topic-bans, or other restrictions.
Editors may report violations of these restrictions to the Arbitration enforcement noticeboard.

If you are unsure if your edit is appropriate, discuss it here on this talk page first. When in doubt, don't revert!

November 8, 2006 Retaliation/shelling

Changed this from the former to the latter. No mention in the article of this being Israeli retaliation, and the point of the article is not the context in which it happened but the event itself. Several shells fell, killing eighteen. "Retaliation" sounds POV. Puddleman 21:58, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

While describing the November 8th event (massacre, incident, shelling). It should be noticed that we can not confirm if it was a intentional act of the IDF. Thus we must describe the event in a passiv way. "The house was shelled by the IDF." Rather then "The IDF shelled the house". This is just a minor PC expression, which I think will make the description more neutral and not judge, whether or not the event was a misfire (as stated by the IDF). 81.5.2.197 13:10, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

don't belive to the arabs propoganda machine

they know very well how to pose in front of a camera and making themselves "suffering" but,to host terrorists, who know they are "operating" from "civilian" concentrations, knowing that the Israeli Army is the most humane Army in the world, and other armies (like Russian,French,British, and American) don't care about how the "world will respond". so the terrorists keep firing bombs intentionally towards Israeli towns (like Sderot) but Israel,of course, cannot retaliate even with the smallest force, because if they do,it will be a "massecre" right?

I wonder,if Mexico would have done the same thing to America even once, not in the course of 6 years, what the united states would have done...

lets face it,if other Army "accidently" bombs a mosque,or a wedding,no one cares... but if israel will do a 1% of that, the whole world will awake suddenley (this is said not only for this event but also in general)

Well aren't you racist toward arabs then? Their "propaganda machine" which probably doesn't really exist.69.143.254.116 15:35, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Watch it: Palestinian national radio puts out the call, a bunch of women in Burkhas show up at a mosque to smuggle out the terrorists hiding there, get shot at, and the terrorists bitch about the IDF firing on "civilian women" and there's no propaganda machine? . This is a town

I think we need more information about this city (apart from the recent massacre) such as history, demographics, transportation, objects that can be found here, notable persons that come from this town(if any), etc. . Peace. --Nielswik(talk) 13:02, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

I agree. Amoruso 12:45, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

On that note, I moved the timeline of the events there to Operation Autumn Clouds. Cheers, Tewfik 07:49, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
