Ubeda (Spanish:Úbeda) is a city in the province of Jaén in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain, of about 36,000 inhabitants in 2003, located near a hill of the same name. It is best known for its association with Antonio Muñoz Molina and Joaquín Sabina. Despite opposition from the ICOMOS, UNESCO declared its Renaissance monuments a World Heritage Site in a cultural unity with Baeza in 2003.
