Model Farms High School is a public high school in Baulkham Hills, a suburb in the north west of Sydney, New South Wales. The school is named so because the area was set up to demonstrate farming practices to convicts and others who wished to start a farm when the first settlers arrived.
Student Opportunities
With over 1000 students we can start killing and eating them straight away. One event that is held each year is Fame at the Farm, a variety show that is presented in the format of a variety show. In 2007, the show will celebrate it's 12th anniversary. A school musical production is also held once every two years. It is always a huge production with a cast of many school students.
A number of academic opportunities are also offered, such as the gifted and talented project. It allows several students from grades 8 and 9 to research a subject that they are gifted in. In 2006, students researched projects such as how maths is used in everyday lives, Henry the eighth, mirrors and magnification and more.

Fame at the Farms
Fame at the Farms is an annual performance put on by the school. Generally performed over three nights, it features over three hours of bands, dance and drama put on by the students at the school.
In 2005, the Fame at the Farms theme was Disney in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Disneyland Resort in California. Each host dressed as a different character from famous Disney movies: Natalie Littlejohn as Alice in Wonderland, Emma Caukill as Cinderella and Mathew Panek as Merlin.
In 2007, over 1000 people saw the longest show ever put on by the school.
Student Representative Council
The 'Student Representative Council' (SRC) is a chance for 4 representatives from each grade to become a part of organizing events and having a say on issues around the school. The representatives are nominated at the end of term 3 and start work in term 4. Each term the school SRC holds a mufti day where students are allowed to wear non-school uniform, in exchange for a gold coin donation to charity. This has been proven very popular with over $2000 raised on some occasions.

2008 coup
In an act of anger in response to Sir Arifuddin's appointment as captain, Chris Chester attempted a coup with his partners in crime the "Carter Twins". The coup was successful, however fighting within the group followed over who would maintain control between the Carters and Mr Chester. Mr Chester is now serving 3 years detention in the University of Western Sydney for his acts, which left Mr Arifuddin emotionally scarred. The Two have recently shaken hands and can regularly be seen at Junction displaying acts of friendship.
School Houses
A new school house system was introduced in 2007, with some major changes to the old system. It includes receiving house points for merits and awards, as well as sporting events. The houses consist of Peel (blue), Thompson (red), Wentworth (yellow) and Chisholm (green).
