| According to Putnam's website, the band was formed "out of boredom around 3 am one morning in early 1997". The two decided to start a joke black metal band, but because of the proximity of sleeping people an ] (rather than ]) guitar was used and ] was provided by Putnam furiously slapping his ]s and ]. | ==Acoustic Black Metal== | |||
| In April ], the first Impaled Northern Moonforest fansite was launched. In October of that year, a ] ] was added to the site, and a community of fans soon formed to celebrate the hitherto mysterious and elusive band. Plans were made to release a ] and, with the exception of some pre-existing acoustic noise bands present on the forum, numerous one-man bands were spawned to contribute to this. The tribute album remains unreleased, awaiting the recording by Anal Cunt of a cover of "Return of the Necrowizard", but the Acoustic Black Metal scene is stronger than ever. One of the true bastions of the ], the scene comprises mostly ] males (alongside the occasional twenty-something) with acoustic guitars and ]-connected ], producing ]s dedicated to the Necrowizard, ], grimness, ], ], ], ], coldness and other such topics. The forum users have even created their own record label, ], to release the tribute album and their own music. Some ungreat and very very very very very very blasphemous ABM bands include (satanically of course): Nocturnal Blasphemy, Glacier of Hellfjord, Necro Satanic Kvlt Lord, Inverted Blasphemous Moongoats of Norway, Orgh, Fjord of Fury etc. | |||

Seth Putnam (born May 15, 1968) is the founder of the grindcore/noisecore band Anal Cunt. He is also well-known for his side projects Angry Hate, Impaled Northern Moonforest, and You're Fired, among others.
Putnam is from Boston, Massachusetts and is of Irish descent. It also is occasionally rumored that he is Jewish, though this is most likely just a satirical joke (Putnam, himself, vehemently denies being a Jew).
In 1996, Putnam had a falling out with Six Feet Under frontman and ex-Cannibal Corpse vocalist, Chris Barnes, after an alleged fight between him and some of Barnes' roadies at a concert. Since then, Putnam has repeatedly challenged Barnes to a one-on-one fight, going as far as writing a song about how "Chris Barnes is a pussy." Barnes has yet to respond to this offer. Putnam also had a falling out with Hatebreed. The fight began after Hatebreed were told to go on before Anal Cunt and this angered many Anal Cunt fans.
